Jing

by Ryan Steinolfson on October 19, 2009

Another great tool that I use is Jing.

Jing is a piece of software that allows me to create up to a 5 minute screencast (video) of my computer screen while I narrate in the background. After I upload the video all I have to do is share the link with the person I am sending the video to and they can watch it. Jing also allows me to create a screen shot (picture) of my computer screen.

I have been using Jing for about 2 months now with my Virtual Assistants. Jing is really a great way to communicate with my Virtual Assistants because I can show them as opposed to just tell them about an issue I am having.

MindJet software

by Ryan Steinolfson on October 18, 2009

Holy Cow I just spent all morning using a new tool that I was introduced to for mapping out all the stuff that is in my mind (a lot of stuff). It is called Mindjet.

Mindjet is a software for that helps put some organization to brainstorming. It allow you to create links between various different tools or skills that you might use to accomplish a certain goal. The best thing about it is that they give you a 21 day trial for free and the mac version of the software is only about $120!

Very inexpensive considering what it helps me do.

I use Mindjet to map out for my clients all the internet marketing tools I will potentially use when they hire me to increase their companies sales with my web systems.

Google Apps Premium

by Ryan Steinolfson on October 17, 2009

For any of you that have not heard of Google Apps Premium I highly recommend it. I just opened up a free account with Google. It is only $50 per user per month and it basically gives you your own intranet. So for a small company like mine it is an invaluable tool.
